The audio tool sports several new features, including the ability to create masterclips of tone, resize the tool window for greater visibility and perform track to channel reassignment.
Audio File Format Changes
Media Composer 7.0 is capable of creating audio media in AIFC format, which is a slight variation of the AIFF (Audio Interchange File Format.) These files are encapsulated in OMFI (Open Media Framework) files. Release 7.0 continues to support the SDII (Sound Designer II) file format and defaults to writing this file type in the "General settings" preference.
