You open the File > Sequence Preference Properties Editor and you change the Downconvert option and get an error message such as this one:
This error is an application Debug message and it should normally not be exposed in the released version.
When you get this type of error, the ONLY valid option is to click Ignore. This skips the assertion and should resume normal usage of the application.
Abort and Retry are not valid options in the released application and will leave Avid DS in an unstable state. An application restart will then be required to reset the application and hardware to a normal state.
It is recommended to select the downconvert options in the Output Tool for specific media play back scaling. Using the downconvert strictly for monitoring purposes can easily throw this error because you may change project or sequence, and this initializes the Avid Nitris hardware in format and frame rate that are incompatible with the selected downconversion settings.
