What can cause the following error, when playing back HDV media on Avid Media Composer?

Exception: ADM_DIO_ERROR_OCCURRED , DIOerr:

Mismatched format (expected| received) - HorizontalSize: (1440| 1440) , VerticalSize: (1080| 1080) , FramRate: (25| 30)

The following error may occur, when mixing PAL HDV footage in an NTSC project (or NTSC footage, in a PAL project).  For example, the HDV footage was NTSC but accidentally captured in a PAL format.

The only HDV formats in Media Composer are:

1080i/50 HDV (PAL)

1080i/59.94 HDV (NTSC)

720p/29.97 HDV (NTSC)

To remove the playback error, do either of the following:

1. Using process of elimination - re-capture in one of the following HDV formats listed above, until the error disappears.

2. Using process of elimination - open the bin (with the HDV master clips) in either of the HDV formats listed above, until the error disappears.
